'What happens to classes during the cold weather?'
THE GOAL:
OUR GOAL DOESN'T CHANGE
We aim to host at least 10+ classes/month as usual.
During FALL/WINTER 3 weeknight classes and 2 weekend mornings is our weekly target.
LESS CARDIO and MORE BOXING
We pick the best weeknights and host 2 weekend classes based on the weather.
The workout starts once you arrive, we leave immediately once done.
NO HANGING AROUND
WEEKEND CLASSES JAN/MID-MARCH ARE AT 10AM.
PROPER WINTER WORKOUT GEAR IS KEY.
MORE SHADOW BOXING
WHAT WE DON'T DO:
RAIN - SUB -10 CELSIUS (WHATEVER THAT IS IN FAHRENHEIT) - STORMS - SNOW
We don't workout in the rain or snow - not because you can't - it ruins your gloves and mitts.
If it starts to rain during class, we improvise with Shadow Boxing, body weight exercises, etc.

THE SCIENCE STUFF THAT FOLLOWS WAS COPIED AND PASTED DIRECTLY FROM THE INTERNET AND DOES NOT NECESSARILY REPRESENT THE VIEWS OF COACH JOHNNY.
THE IMPORTANT STUFF ABOVE WAS SELF-COMPOSED.
BENEFITS OF COLD WEATHER WORKOUTS:
According to AI and ChatGPT, exercising in the cold is good and offers benefits like increased calorie burn, improved endurance, and better mood, but it's crucial to prioritize safety by dressing in layers, staying hydrated and warming up properly.
Increased Calorie Burn:
Your body uses more energy and burns more calories to maintain its core temperature in the cold, giving your metabolism a boost.
Improved Endurance:
You may find it easier to exercise longer and more intensely in the cold because you're not as prone to overheating as in warm weather.
Better Mood and Energy:
Physical activity outdoors can combat seasonal depression, and general feelings of low energy.
Enhanced Heart and Lung Health:
Challenging your body in the cold strengthens your heart, lungs, and circulatory system.
Boosted Immunity:
Staying active in colder months can contribute to a stronger immune system and help prevent chronic health conditions.
SCIENCE RIGHT?
SEE YOU IN CLASS SOON!
